Biomedtrix Innovations Inc. is a student-led biomedical start up company. Our flagship product, PalmFree, is an interactive video game aimed at improving hand dexterity for those with hand mobility deficits. Currently, PalmFree is targeted towards stroke survivors to help regain hand function through at-home rehabilitation. In collaboration with occupational therapists at Hamilton Health Sciences Regional Rehabilitation Center, PalmFree has developed into an award-winning rehabilitation technology. For end users, PalmFree delivers value through simplicity, engagement, and real clinical purpose. Patients benefit from a therapy experience that is enjoyable, accessible from home, and aligned with evidence-based rehabilitation principles. Meanwhile, clinicians benefit from real-time insights that help them tailor treatment plans and maintain oversight between in-person sessions. A clinical trial is currently underway to determine the efficacy of PalmFree.
